The Mountainburg Lady Dragons overcame a small deficit and the Dragons won their first conference game on Dec. 20 at Magazine.

Magazine led 17-16 at halftime, but the Lady Dragons (12-2, 2-0) commanded a 34-25 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Tara Webb and Kaylyn Moore both finished with 16 points each. Auburn Peters chipped in six and she pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. Webb also had five rebounds.

The Lady Dragons resume action on Jan. 7 when they host Eureka Springs in both a junior high and high school action.

The Dragons (1-1) won their first conference game this season as Lonnie Campbell had a season-high 42 points in the 67-55 win.

Trey Allen chipped in 13 and Zack Wolfgram added nine.

The Dragons participated in the Hector tournament this week.
