Alma defeated Farmington 57-44 Friday night as Braxton Anderson hit five three pointers and finished with a game-high 21 points in the nonconference contest.

Airedale coach Stan Flenor said that his crew played a solid game overall.

Both teams were tied 10-10 after the first quarter, but the Airedales began to pull away to go up 27-22 at halftime.

Farmington kept pace with Alma in the third quarter as the Airedales held to its five-point lead, 39-34, going into the fourth.

Austin Lee added 12 points and Jake Folkerts chipped in 11.

Skyler Barnes led Farmington with 13 points and teammate Jeremy Mueller tossed in 11.

Cedarville 54, Lamar 48 (Men’s)

The Pirates (8-5) rallied from a small deficit in the fourth quarter to pick up the win on Friday night.

Cedarville led 12-7 after the first quarter, but trailed 37-33 after three quarters of play. The Pirates outscored Lamar 21-11 in the fourth.

Garrett Parson led Cedarville with 21 points and Alex Cantrell tossed in 13.

Alma 57, Clarksville 26

The Airedales bounced back from Saturday’s loss to score 38 points in the first half (a season high) to beat the Panthers in a nonconference game on Monday.

Dylan Mason hit five three pointers to lead Alma with 15 points while Isaac Posey, Nathan Corder and Noah Dotson added 10 points each. Eli Howells tossed in six.

"Hopefully, this game will give us some confidence before heading into (River Valley) conference play next week," said coach Eddie Corder. "We shot the ball extremely well. When the shots fall, everything always looks better."
