Alma survived VBFA in the first meeting between the two teams this season as the Airedales won 32-29.

Alma advanced to finals and will face Darby, the 36-32 winner of Thursday’s game against Russellville, on Saturday at 4:15 p.m.

The Airedales (2-0) had a slow start and early foul trouble to trail 8-3 in the first quarter.

Garrison Jensen led with 11 points while both Ged Dyer and Brayden Johnson tossed in seven points each.

The Airedalettes fell 27-21 to Rusellville on Thursday. Reagan Gray led Alma (0-2) with nine points.

Clarksville 35, Alma 25 (Girls)

Bailey Hoffsommer led the Airedalettes with 13 points during the first-round of the Russellville Junior High Tournament on Monday.

Alma faced Russellville Thursday afternoon in the second round.

Pleasant View 39, Mansfield 22 (Girls)

Amanda Jones scored 14 points and Jorden Goolsby scored 11 and Faith Molnar added nine in the win. The Lady Hornets faced Hackett on Thursday for the second round.

The Lady Hornets (3-3) led 16-4 at the break and was up 25-9 after three quarters of play.

Pleasant View 37, Trinity 33 OT (Boys)

Jorden Stepusin led with 16 points and Zach MacKay added 11 as the Hornets (2-4) bounced back from the first-round loss at the Hackett Junior High Tournament.

The game was tied up 12-12 at the end of the first half and 32-32 at the end of regulation. Caleb Hendricks had seven points.

Mansfield 40, Pleasant View 38 (Boys)

The Tigers led 15-7 after the end of the first quarter, but the Hornets battled back to tie up the game 23-23 going into final quarter of play.

Stepusin led with 19 points while Todd Brown and MacKay adding nine and eight points each.
