The Pirates grabbed another win Monday after Korbin Polly struggled in the first inning on the mound.

Cedarville bounced West Fork 14-1.

Polly had a shaky start as he tried to get adjusted to the mound at West Fork. He gave up three walks and hit a batter to walk in West Fork’s sole run.

After Polly found his footing he threw for six complete innings and finished with 12 strikeouts.

Bryan Shelly finished out the game for Cedarville to earn the save in the seventh inning.

Corey Fincher had a three-run home run in the fifth to push the Pirates ahead 11-1.

Cedarville had their own struggles at the plate and only had four runs through the first five innings. The second West Fork pitcher gave up five runs on 17 pitches before he was replaced.

Tyler Mowrey had a single and double and Polly finished with a double and three RBIs. Logan Wheeler added two more hits for Cedarville.
