The Lady Dragons advanced to Saturday’s finals of the Decatur Holiday Classic with a 49-31 win Thursday night. Madelyn Beasley led with 22 points and Maddux McDonald tossed in eight. Mountianburg hosted Gentry on Friday and will travel to Cedarville for the North Crawford County battle on Monday, Dec. 3.


The Airedales defeated Siloam Springs 43-36 on Thursday night at home. Hunter Mcalister led with 27 points and nine rebounds. Dylan Cluck had “a solid game” with five points, five assists and eight rebounds. Logan Taylor added five assists and pulled down four rebounds. Conner Stacy chipped in four points. “We had a great defensive first half,” said coach Eddie Corder. “We did a good job of handling their pressure late to maintain our lead.” Alma opens River Valley Conference play at home against Chaffin on Dec. 6. A Toy Toss will be held during the contest.
