Alma didn’t have to wait long for the boys to win their first contest at home as the Airedales defeated Beebe’s JV team 4-2 on Friday Airedale Stadium at Citizens Bank Field.
Beebe got on board first early in the contest, but about seven minutes later Aidan Walker scored the first Alma goal of the night off a penalty kick. Walker would also finish with three assists.
His first was to Coltin Bowerman in the 31st minute. Andrew Duncan scored two goals within two minutes with the first at the 50th minute.
Beebe scored late in the contest.
Alma had 11 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Camren finished with five saves and allowed one goal. Seth Seegers also allowed a goal with two saves.
The Airedalettes also picked up a win by the same margin, 4-2. Emilee Mlakar scored the first goal eight minutes into the contest. Chloe Gilmore added another goal with an assist from Jasmine Higgins. Beebe closed out the half to get within one, 2-1.
Alyssa Thomas scored on a corner kick in the 65th minute to push Alma back ahead 3-1, but Bebee netted a score about 10 minutes later to stay within a goal, 3-2. Breanna Williams added the final goal of the evening on a free kick four minutes later.
The Airedalettes had nine shots on goal. Ava Wilkinson made four saves and allowed two goals.
