Mulberry splits with Johnson Co. Westside while the Airedalettes win their first game of the season.
Mulberry had two players reach double digits and six other players contributed to the scoring in Friday’s 60-43 win at Johnson County Westside.
Trevor Marvin led with 20 points and Tyler Rice added 12. Brendon Lawson tossed nine while Zack Mackay contributed seven.
The Yellow Jackets led 51-26 after three quarters of play when Westside began a rally, which came up short.
Mulberry hosted County Line on Tuesday and will travel to Mountainburg on Dec. 9 (Friday).

WOMEN’S — The Lady Jackets remained close in the first quarter, only trailing by six, 15-9, but Westside used a strong second quarter run to go up 27-11 by halftime.
Both teams scored 22 points each in the second half.
Destiny Freeman led with 10 points and Sarah Lewis contributed nine while Amanda Jones tossed in seven.
ALMA 65, SILOAM SPRINGS 50
GIRLS — Kailey Fagan scored 30 points Saturday to power Alma to its first victory of the season — a 65-50 win over Siloam Springs on Saturday at the Great 8 in Rogers.
Sierra Bailey finished with 18 for Alma (1-3). Siloam Springs dropped to 1-5.
CAMDENTON (Mo.) 68, ALMA 43
GIRLS — The Alma Airedalettes suffered a 68-43 loss to Camdenton, in the second round of the Great 8 Tournament in Rogers on Friday.
Fagen led Alma with 13. Abbye Ostrander contributed 10.
