Tate Cole wins a pair of feature races at Tri-State Speedway during the Annual Coca-Cola Summertime Classic.
Tate Cole grabbed a couple of feature wins at Tri-State Speedway on Saturday during the annual Coca-Cola Summertime Classic.
Cole won both the IMCA and the USRA Modifieds feature races in addition to his respective heat races. He finished in front of Jason Payton and last week's winner, Kayden Menasco. Van Buren's Larry Tounzen, who also won the other heat race, was fourth and Shannon Cox took fifth.
In the USRA feature race, Cole placed ahead of George Martin and Kyle Ledford. Jared Russell nabbed fourth and Patrick Goodnight, another heat race winner, finished fifth.
Brandy Justice won her first feature of the year to take the Pure Stock class. Austin Farnam was runner-up and Alma's Jalen Brewton was third. Rick Edgerton had a heat race win and finished fourth while Rudy's Chris Perkins took fifth.
Perkins won his heat race and remains the point leader.

Ken McCarty grabbed another win and last week's winner Logan Ellis, who was last week's winner, seized second. Chad Summerford, Dustin Leatherman and Jared Thomson rounded out the Top 5.
Neil Johnson drove his new ride to clinch the win with Tyler Chambers grabbing second. Dennis Slader was third with Roy Long was fourth and Clifton Drummond finished fifth.
Eddie Martin won the 25-lap feature event. Rob Powell was second and Will Aycock nabbed third. Scott Freeman earned the Elite World Services Hard Charger Award as he began the race in 19th and finished ninth.
Justin Rexwinkle was released from a local hospital after receiving minor bumps and bruises from a rollover during the USRA Modified heat race. Rexwinkle was in the middle of two other cars and the tires came together which caused Rexwinkle to go airborne. Rexwinkle made contact with another car and was launched into a barrel roll.
Some of the safety roll bars of his car had to be cut away for a safe and precautionary removal from his car.
