Priscilla Lucille Barrett, 73, of Alma lost her hard fought battle with breast cancer Monday, June 27, 2016. She was born April 3, 1943, in Clearwater, Fla., to Theodore Pyle and Gladys (Smith) Nortin. Lucy, a Christian, was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Alma.
Lucy is survived by her husband, Thomas Barrett; her children, Richard Barrett (Charlene), Michael Barrett (Debby) and Cheryl (Barrett) Adkisson; her grandchildren, Michael (Miranda) Barrett, Richard (Amanda) Barrett, Kayla Adkisson and Joshua Adkisson; her great-grandchildren, Tessli, Emily and Lynlee; her mother, Gladys Norton of Tampa, Fla.; and her brother, Richard Cole of Live Oak, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Norton; and her grandparents, Walter and Winnie Smith.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Friday at Ocker Chapel of Alma with Pastor Nathan Ritchie officiating. Interment will be at at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR.
Pallbearers will be Michael Thomas Barrett, Michael Todd Barrett, Michael Wayne Barrett, Wallace Hayes, Norwood Goodwin and Bill Douglas. Honorary pallbearer will be Sam Lee.
A reception for family and friends will be held at Trinity Baptist Church in Alma at 3 p,m. Friday.
The family will visit with friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 E. U.S. 64, Alma.
