Percy (P.B.) Burkhart, 87, of Rudy died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at a local hospital. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, retired furniture factory worker and member and honorary deacon of New Hope Church near Rudy. He was the widower of Betty Burkhart and Patsy Burkhart.
He is survived by two daughters, Theresa English of Waco, Texas, and Dena Cottrell of Dyer; two stepdaughters, Anita Burkhart and Sharon Hood of Van Buren; a stepson, Bruce Suggs of Van Buren; and five grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Church near Rudy with burial at Mt. McCurry Cemetery in Rudy under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Burkhart, Bruce Suggs, Ricky Hood, Dinnie Waldrop, Brandon Champion and Mike Roe.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the church.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
