Olen Ray Smith, 70, of Mulberry died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at his home. He was a self-employed horse trainer, lifelong resident of Crawford County, employee of Abshere Excavating in Van Buren and Baptist. He was born March 5, 1944, in Mulberry.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; three daughters, Shannon Evans of Rudy and Amanda Kilgore and Connie McCormick, both of Mulberry; a son, Timothy Forrest of Mulberry; three sisters, Mildred Sims and Kay Sims, both of Mountainburg, and Phyllis Wilson of Van Buren; three brothers, Bobby Smith of Van Buren and Harold and Dale Smith, both of Mountainburg; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Ocker Chapel of Alma with burial at Pope Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Kilgore, Chris McCormick, Timothy Forrest, Oliver and Troy Frazier and Gary Wayne Smith.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
