Betty J. Stephens, 72, of Alma died Tuesday June 4, 2013, at a local hospital. She was a former employee of Trane Manufacturing Co., former owner of The Pony Express in Ozark and widow of Berl Stephens.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Beckner of Van Buren; a son, Ron Stephens of Van Buren; four brothers, Marvin Faldon of Dallas and Dwight, Don and Ralph Faldon, all of Van Buren; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was June 7 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Randy, Dwight, Mark, Jeff, Scott and Marvin Faldon Jr.
Bounexou Manylath, 77, of Van Buren died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in Fort Smith. He was born June 15, 1935, in Laos. He was retired from Simmons Food and was a Buddhist.
He is survived by his wife, Thankeo; children, Chanthanom Manylath of Van Buren, Keosaleum Tanthaphensay, Keosomsack Manylath, Keooudone Manylath, Keosakhone Manylath, Sakounkeo Manylath and Keosaysith Manylath, all of Fort Smith, Xaysommay Manirath and Keolamngeume Manylath, both of Little Rock, and Keoviengkhone Manylath of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Khambou Phetramphanh of California; a brother, Bounthong Hanevichit of California; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Keosaleum Tanthaphengsay, Keoviengkhone Manylath, Odis Pilgrim II, Sakounkeo Manylath, Khuekham Manirath and Johnny Do.
Janice Louise Ritchie, 65, of Fort Smith died Tuesday June 4, 2013, at a local hospital. She was a printer for Weldon, Williams & Lick in Fort Smith and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by four daughters, Lisa Stites of Van Buren and Charlotte and Margie Ritchie and Lorie Bailey, all of Fort Smith; three sons, Jimmy Ritchie of Greenwood and Allen Ritchie and Brian Willhite, both of Fort Smith; a sister, Sandy Willis of Clarksville; a brother, Billy Miller of Lamar; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Holman Cemetery in Lamar.
Pallbearers will be James Potts Sr., James Potts Jr., Aaron Potts, Terrell Lewis, Jimmy Ritchie and Allen Ritchie.
Sandy Dye Miller, 75, of Alma died Monday, June 3, 2013, at a local hospital. She was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Enid, Okla., to the late Ernest and Genevieve Holmes. She was a retired co-owner/operator of Gatto-Dye-Holloway CPAs and co-owner/operator of Miller-Roxin Farms. She was a member and past president of Soroptimist International in Manteca, Calif., and served on the board of the Boys and Girls Club in Manteca. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Dye.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Miller of the home; four daughters, Karla Holloway and husband Tim of Florence, Ore., Karen Roxin and husband Chris of Mulberry, Kimberly Jacobsen of Arnold, Calif., and Jennifer Cox and husband Todd of Bakersfield; two sons, Duane Miller and wife Freda of Alma and Randy Miller of Tempe, Ariz.; a sister, Jan Brown of Manteca, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, Ashley, Shelley and Robert Roxin, Chris and wife Aditra, Randy Jr., Michael and Kevin Miller, Travis Goodwin, Richard and Harley Coolidge, Carli Cox, and Trisha, Greg and Jacob Holloway; and six great-grandchildren, Kevin, Andrew, Cyndal, Zachary, Hadleigh and Jaxson.
Mrs. Miller will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Lawanda Reeves, 58, of Pacific, Mo., formerly of Van Buren, died Monday, May 20, 2013, in Pacific. She was born Jan. 9, 1955, in Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Dye of Van Buren and Stefanie Burtenshaw of Pacific; a sister, Christy Bussett of Yukon, Okla.; a brother, Tony Reeves of Springdale; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside memorial service with burial of ashes will be 2 p.m. Monday at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Ozella Southhall, 82, of Van Buren died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at a Van Buren nursing home. She was born April 18, 1931, in Fordyce and was the widow of Ray Southhall.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Shady Grove Cemetery near Fordyce under the direction of Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Merrell of Van Buren; and two grandchildren.
Carleen Dahl Davis, 70, of Fayetteville, formerly of Crawford County, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Fayetteville. She was born Nov. 25, 1942, in Ames, Iowa, was a retired licensed practical nurse and homemaker. She was the widow of George Higgins.
She is survived by three daughters, Melisa Huffman and Sherrie Walker, both of Fayetteville, and Mary Jenkins of Lithia Springs, Ga.; two sons, Russell Walker of Detroit, Mich., and Bobby Walker of Des Moines, Iowa; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday at U.S. National Cemetery in Fayetteville under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
