Billy Ray Brown, 75, of Rudy passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, in his home.
He was a self employed plumbing contractor and a sod farm operator. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He became a Christian when he was 60-years-old and served the Lord faithfully ever since. He was always eager to share his stories of how it’s never too late. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and fishing. He was a member of Oliver Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Rudy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Lorene (Willis) Brown; two sisters, Rita Rester and Vivian White; and two brothers, Jerry and Glen Brown.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. today at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Oliver Springs Cemetery in Rudy under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna Faye (Hall) Brown of the home; one daughter, Sherry Hays and husband Dr. Elliott Hays of Van Buren; two sons, Dr. Ricky Brown and wife Teresa of El Dorado, and Kevin Brown of Van Buren; one sister, Belva Batson of Texas; nine grandchildren, Summer Shook, Audrea Martin, Nicole Hays, Eli Hays, Hannah Brown, Austin Brown, Caitlin Brown, Kristin Kuykendall and Erica Brown; nine great-grandchildren with another one due in December and many, many friends.
Pallbearers will be Eli Hays, Austin Brown, Michael Kuykendall, Brad Martin, Travis Shook, Elliott Hays and Larry Cooper.

Troy Don Cowan Jr., 25, of Van Buren died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, in Iowa City, Iowa. He was a former employee of O.K. Foods in Fort Smith and 2006 graduate of Van Buren High School.
He is survived by a son, Landon Robertson; mother and stepfather, Tina and Donnie Adams of Fort Smith; father, Troy Don Cowan Sr. of Van Buren; three sisters, Aretha Young and Amber Aaron, both of Fort Smith, and Violet Wagley of Van Buren; a brother, Wesley Whitham of Fort Smith; and maternal grandmother, Erma House of Van Buren.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Matt Cooksey, Jessie Moore, Justin and Dustin Hallman, Wesley Whitham and Bob West.
Evelyn Sue Williams Ray, 76, of Alma died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013. She was born June 30, 1937. She was a homemaker, Van Buren High School graduate, member of Living Word Tabernacle in Booneville and widow of David Ray Sr.
She is survived by four sons, David Jr., Darrell, Michael and Marty Ray, all of Van Buren; a sister, Anita Carter of Alma; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Aug. 9 at Dripping Springs Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Eric, Cody, Aaron, Ryan, Russell and David Ray III.
Bruce Rausch, 55, of Alma died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at his home. He was born March 29, 1958, in Ozark, self-employed diesel mechanic and owner and operator of B&R Service. He was a 1976 graduate of County Line High School and member of Ratcliff First Baptist Church.
Memorial service was Aug. 8 at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. The body was cremated.
He is survived by a daughter, Joanna Rausch of Mena; a son, Arylan Rausch of Mena; parents, Bennie and Sue Rausch of Ratcliff; and a brother, Earl Lee Rausch of Rogers.
Barbara Ann McGehee, 66, of Rudy died Aug. 7, 2013, at a St. Louis, Mo., hospital. She was born Oct. 24, 1946, in San Francisco.
The body will be cremated under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy McGehee; two daughters, Staci Nichols of Kibler and Candy Jones of Midway; two sons, Tracy Jones of Rudy and Bobby Jones of Paris; two brothers, Joe Davidson of Rudy and Bobby Davidson Jr. of Paris; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
