Jeanne Conger, formerly of Cabot, Ark., died Friday, Aug., 28, 2015, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. She was born Aug. 26, 1937, the daughter of Gerald and Drusilla Matthew, in Bond Special, Ark. Jeanne was a military wife for 24 years, traveling the country and the world. Jeanne retired from Civil Service in 1998 after 25 years working for both the Corps of Engineers and Health and Human Services. Following her retirement, she embarked on a new adventure as co-owner and president of a highly successful medical billing company.
Jeanne is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert; her two daughters, Karen Conger and Debra Bradley; her son-in-law, Philip Bradley; one grandson, Jeremy Junkin; granddaughter-in-law, Sandra Maya Junkin; four precious great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Maya, Elijah Maya-Junkin, Ella Junkin and Aaliyah Junkin; three sisters, Betty Williams, Kay Goodman and Fay Bogan; one sister-in-law, Jeanne Walsh-Edwards; one brother-in-law, Jim Goodman; and 17 nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a visitation at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, followed by a celebration of life service at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot.
