James Donald Solley of Kibler died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013. He was born Jan. 9, 1939, in Charleston, Ark.

He was a machinist at Wards and Desoto Furniture Factories and retired from Norton Alcoa. He served in the Army National Guard for 23 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Betty Montes and husband William; one son, James Brandon Solley and wife Charity; six grandchildren, Julieah Evans, Bradley Montes, Farrah Shepard, Whitely Evans, Jordan Evans and James Payton Solley, and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith on Jan. 3 under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers were the grandsons.
