Eugene Gordon, 79, of Van Buren passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, at a local hospital. He was a retired forklift driver for Hickory Springs in Fort Smith, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Top Hands Riding Club in Van Buren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Sadie (Burris) Gordon; two sister and three brothers.

He is survived by one daughter, Cindy Gann of Witcherville; three sons, Steven Eugene Gordon and Jimmy Gordon and wife, Georgia, all of Van Buren, and David Gordon of Middleton, Tenn.; one sister, Gladys Baker of Las Vegas, Nev.; 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. McCurry Cemetery in Rudy under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Ben Gordon, Dan Gordon, Shane Gordon, Mark Kelly, Larry Gordon and Danny Taylor.
