Carroll Melvin Kimes, 75, of Mountainburg passed away on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at a local hospital. He was a former owner/operator of Kimes Service Station and Wrecker Service in Mountainburg and of the Freewill Baptist faith. He was born Nov. 11, 1939, in Chester to the late Melvin Allen and Lula Lee (Larue) Kimes.

Survivors include his wife, Farnese Kimes of the home; two sons, Rick Kimes and wife Angie and Rodney Kimes and wife Donna, all of Mountainburg; one sister, Sue Shipp of Fayetteville; one brother, Glen Kimes and wife Bernice of Chester; and four grandchildren, Ethan, Matt, Brady and Eli.

Graveside service was Sept. 26 at Freedom Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Pallbearers were Rodney, Rick, Ethan, Matt, Brady and Eli Kimes and Scott, Dayton and Ryder Pense.
