Arnold Lee Cameron, 65, of Rudy passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, in Fort Smith. He was born Nov. 28, 1949, in Arkoma to the late Ed and Mearl Kelly Cameron. He was vice president of Shipley Motor Co. in Fort Smith and was the owner/operator of J.A.C. Trucking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Ed Cameron.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Cameron of the home; three daughters, Cheryl Hyman of Mountainburg, Shannon Lambert of Cave Springs and Tammie Ray of Alma; a sister, Marilyn Breedlove of Van Buren; four brothers, Darrell Cameron of McHenry, Miss., Holt Cameron of the Graphic Community, Glen Kelly of Rudy and Frank Cameron of Cape Coral, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Barling City Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. The family has invited friends to join them at the home for a potluck following the service.
Pallbearers will be Brad Hyman, Ron Lambert, Jimmy Ray III, John Kelly, Lewis "Buddy" Irvin and Todd Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be his fellow dump truck drivers.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
