Charles “Chuck” Jennen, 76, of Van Buren passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at his home. He was born Dec. 6, 1941, in Russellville to the late Peter and Dimple Jennen. He was the retired president of Sign Art Advertising in Van Buren after 40 years, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was commended by the Strategic Air Command. He loved horseracing and owned Triple J Farms where he raised horses, was active with the United Way on its Great Raft Races, and loved to hang glide. He was a loving husband and father. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Jennen; and a brother, Gary Jennen.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Jennen of the home; a daughter, Cheryl Johns and husband Denny of Van Buren; a son, David Jennen and wife Jennifer of Lithia, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Dava Jennen of Van Buren; two brothers, Gene Jennen of Van Buren and Dan Jennen of Fort Smith; and 10 grandchildren.
Burial of ashes with military honors was Aug. 24 at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Cremation was under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
