Stanley Dorain Cronin, 85, of Alma passed away on Saturday, April 7,2018, at a local nursing home. He was a retired bus driver for the Alma School System, a retired California field ironworker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Alma. He was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Darbun, Miss., to the late Lindsay and Alice M (Ball) Cronin. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Jewell Cronin; one sister, Hilda Bryant; two brothers, Floyd Cronin and Lexie Lee Cronin; and one granddaughter, Amy Renee Gibson.

Survivors include three daughters, Cynthia Stutts of Washougal, Wash., Bettina Gibson of Erie, Ill., and Angela Kruskopp of Van Buren; five sons, Stanley D. Cronin Jr. of Mesa, Ariz., Jarvis Dale Cronin of Mesa, Ariz., N. Damon Cronin of Vancouver, Wash., A. Dean Cronin of Heber, Ariz., and G. Darrell Cronin of Bountiful, Utah; one sister, Dixie Preston of Mesa, Ariz.; 37 grandchildren and 72 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was April 14 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with interment in Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Pallbearers were Jeremiah Cronin, John Cronin, Allen Cronin, Anthony Kruskopp, Bryant Kruskopp, Sean Custello, Anthony Cronin and Damon Cronin.

Honorary pallbearers were Jared, Jacob, Travis, Phillip, Chad, Michael, Billy and Weston Cronin.
