Harold Ray Parrish, 79, of Alma passed away on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at a local hospital. He attended Kibler Baptist Church and was an U.S. Army veteran. He was born Oct. 3, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Leo “Boone” and Edith (White) Parish. He also was preceded in death by an infant son, Russell Ray Parrish.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Donna (Bell) Parrish of the home; two daughters, Jeanne Parrish and her companion Maria of Maumelle, Ark., and Ellie Goss and husband John of Cabot, Ark.; two sisters, Martha Nault of Mena, Ark., and Mary Burkhart and husband Ted of Alma; two brothers, Oscar Parrish of Van Buren and John Parrish and wife Jan of Ozark; two grandchildren, Carissa Vaughn and husband Bobby of Clarksville, Ark, and Megan Wallmark of Van Buren; and one great-grandchild, Madilyn Wallmark of Van Buren.
Funeral service was Nov. 20 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Pallbearers were David Parrish, John Parrish Jr., Bryan Parrish, Kyle Burkhart, Ted Burkhart and Rick Parks.
