Virginia Marie Allen, 88, of Mountainburg passed away on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at a local hospital. She was a retired seamstress for W.B. Smith and Kenline, a homemaker and a member of Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Mountainburg. She was born April 1, 1929, in Bidville, Ark., to the late Willie W. and Rea (Jackson) Moore. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Allen; and a son, Preston Allen.
Survivors include three sons, Dale E. Allen and wife Nancy of Beavercreek, Ohio, Justin Allen and wife Jo of Mountainburg and Rex Allen of Roland, Okla.; two sisters, Stella Medlock and husband Kenneth of Dyer and Ellen Bright and husband Johnny of Muskogee, Okla.; three brothers, Raymond Moore and wife Pat of Mannford, Okla., Dwight Moore and wife Helen of Sapulpa, Okla., and Paul Moore and wife Linda of Depew, Okla.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Locke Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Allen, Geoff Allen, Colin Allen, Lane Jeremiah, Gary Bright, Doyle Medlock and David Broadrick.
The family will visit with friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 E. U.S. 64, Alma.
