Alonzo G. Creel, 76, of Mountainburg passed away on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at a local nursing home. He was a retired inspector for the USDA, a 1958 graduate of Mountainburg High School and a member of Locke Freewill Baptist Church. He was born Dec. 10, 1940, in Crawford County to the late J.C. and Pearl (Williams) Creel.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Locke Freewill Baptist Church with interment in the Locke Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Creel of the home; one daughter, Kimberly Seaton and husband Kevin of Lavaca; one son, Carl Creel of Fort Smith; two stepdaughters, Lou Ann Bennett and Pat Wasp, both of Portland, Ore.; two stepsons, Billy Bennett and wife Beth of Blooming Grove, Texas, and Bryan Bennett and wife Roxy of Venus, Texas; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Williams, Jerry Drummond, Wayne Burrough, Dewey Drummond, John Creel, Josiah Creel, Charlie Harrison and Dewayne Evans.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Spears, David Linton, Don Wilkenson, Tony Williams, Robert Williams and Norman Williams.
