Julietta Marie Adams Davenport entered into eternal rest Oct. 29, 2017. Julietta “Judy” was born June 25, 1925, in Alma, Ark., to John and Sarah Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John L. “Jack” Davenport, her parents, two brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.

She married Jack in Dumas, Texas, June 25, 1947. They made their home there, moved to Pasadena, Texas, and upon retirement moved back to Alma. They were active members of Newberry Chapel Methodist Church and Melody Chapter No. 579, Order of the Eastern Star. Upon Jack’s passing, she moved to Oklahoma where she resided for seven years.

Julietta is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Don) Henderson of Old Hickory, Tenn., Carolyn (Bill) Boyce of Owasso, Okla., and Frances (Delbert) Hoefar of Crosby, Texas; her grandchildren, Mitch (Becky) Hoefar of Crosby, Texas, Allen Hoefar of Pasadena, Texas, Barry (Michelle) Henderson of Mt. Juliet, Tenn,, Kelly (Ed) Fetkovich of Owasso, Okla., and Kimberly Schirlls of Owasso, Okla.; 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Thanks to the Highlands at Owasso and Roserock Hospice for caring for her. She was 92 years old and realized she had a full and happy life.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at U.S. Fort Smith National in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pastor Bob Jeffery of Newberry Chapel will officiate.

The family will greet friends from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday before the graveside service at Edwards Funeral Home.
