Jesse Douglas “J.D.” Benham, 73, of Mulberry passed away on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at a Fayetteville hospital. He was retired from Whirlpool, U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force veteran serving in Vietnam and of the Methodist faith. He was born Nov. 8, 1943, in Mulberry to the late Neill and Etta (Cash) Benham.

Survivors include three sisters, Wanda Wilkins of Mulberry Judy Turney of Clarksville and Marsha Fagan of Alma; one brother, Neal Benham of Mulberry; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service with military honors will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Ocker Chapel of Alma. A private burial will be held at New Cemetery at a later date. Cremation and service are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

The family will visit with friends following the memorial service.
