Billy Wayne Coulter, 83, of Van Buren passed away on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at his home. He was a retired professional carpenter and maintenance supervisor for Alma Public Schools and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Alma. He was born April 25, 1934, in Dyer to the late Orville and Goldie (Jeans) Coulter. He also was preceded in death by one son, Terry W. Coulter; one sister, Freda Abbott; and two brothers, Don and Robert Coulter.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Coulter of the home; three grandchildren, Adina Harris of Fort Smith, Jason Coulter and Christina Tripp of Cordell, Okla.; eight great-grandchildren; one daughter, Lori Cook of Bauxite, Ark.; three sons, Jim Lemon of Alma Bobby Lemon of Mulberry and Bill Lemon Sr. of Long, Okla.; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment at Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Milsap, Tommy Leakey, Donny Jones, Billy Lemons Jr., Bob Harkreader and Raymond Laster.

Honorary pallbearers will be George Brown, Harold Hill, H. D. Griffin, Jim Harvey and Leonard Howard.

The family will visit with friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 E. U.S. 64, Alma.
