Alfred Dwayne Hudson, 68, of Alma passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at his home. He was a former truck driver, member of Southside Baptist Church in Alma and U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was born June 22, 1949, in Fort Smith to the late Alfred Willard Hudson and Altha Mae (Rankin) Hudson-Carlton. He also was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Gale Hudson; and a granddaughter, Aarron Walker.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hudson of the home; two daughters, Kathy Hudson of Fort Smith and Candie White and husband Scott of Alma; two sons, Corey Walker of Van Buren and Chad Walker and wife Jessicka of Spiro; one sister, Billie Jean Harvey of Fayetteville; and seven grandchildren, Kevin Hudson, Michael Jamison, Zack White, Kristina Jamison, Haley White, Bironkia Walker and Ashley White.

Funeral service was Sept. 8 at Southside Baptist Church in Alma with interment at Locke Cemetery in Mountainburg with military honors. Services were under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Pallbearers were Robert Harvey, Doug Lynch, Scott Saunders, Michael Jamison, Zack White and Almon Blair.
