Mrs. Laverna J. Keller, 97, of Kibler passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, in Alma. She was born in Kibler on July 11, 1919, to Eugene and Ethel Boatright. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kibler Baptist Church, where she was the pianist and a Sunday school teacher for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy S. “Jack” Keller; her stepmother, Jewel Boatright; a brother, James A. “Bud” Boatright; and a grandson, Dane Gregory.

Laverna leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Jacqueline Gregory and her husband Robert of Kibler; a son, Steven Keller and companion Diane Moore of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Christian Moore of Los Angeles, Paul Gregory and wife Melissa of Kibler and Timothy Gregory of Kibler; three nephews, James Boatright and wife Sharon, David Boatright and wife Paula and Bobby Boatright, all of Cotter; and a great-niece, Laurel Boatright of Atlanta, Ga.

Funeral service with the the Rev. Bob Shelton officiating will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
