Harley Hurst, 75, of Palestine, Texas, formerly of Cedarville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017 in Tyler, Texas. He was born March 21, 1941, in Charleston to the late Elbert and Ouanita Hurst. He was a retired distribution coordinator for H.B. Zachry Construction. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Loye Hurst.

He is survived by his wife, Zella “Rita” Hurst of the home; a daughter, LaWanda Hurst of Palestine, Texas; a brother, Handy Hurst of Cedarville; and three grandchildren, Zachary Hurst, Kayleigh Reed and Bethnie Reed, all of Palestine.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
