Pat “PattyMae” Hatley, 79, of Fort Smith, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017. She was born May 12, 1937, in Alma to the late Jack and Mattie Brown. She was a 1955 graduate of Alma High School and was retired from Whirlpool. She was a faithful member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Her favorite scripture was Matthew 11:28-30.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald of the home; three daughters, Carla Jones and husband Jargo of Muldrow, JoNell McLaughlin and companion Rusty Wiggins of Van Buren and Sherrie Gotham and husband Jim of Tulsa; six sons, Randy Hickey of Alma, Darion Hatley of the home, Ronnie Hatley and wife Becky of Dyer, Larry Underwood and wife Debbie of Dyer, Terry Underwood and wife Gena of Sallisaw and Bill Underwood and wife Rachel of Claremore; two sisters, Jackie Harris of Roland and Linda Gabbard and husband Stan of Mountainburg; 14 grandchildren, Kelly Williams, Jessica Edwards, Ashely McLaughlin, Israel Hatley, Elric Glover, Sidney Hatley, Emily Hatley, Kristen Eberly, Katlin Underwood, Terry Underwood Jr., Savannah Underwood, Brent Gotham, Dustin Gotham and Lesie Schwing; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Feb. 3 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers were Kelly Williams, Clay Edwards, Bill Underwood, Terry Underwood, Ronnie Hatley and Philip Russell. Honorary pallbearers were Jackie Harris, Linda and Stan Gabbard, Claude and Marie Hatley, Wayne and Evelyn Morgan, Wanda Qualls, Nedra Schultz and the Adult Sunday School class at Unity Missionary Baptist Church.
