Obituary - Oct. 1, 2016
Mary Mae Brown Chittum, 88, of Van Buren passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker and believed in God, her lord and savior Jesus Christ. She was a prayer warrior and a loving contributor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dottie Jinks, and was the last member of her immediate family.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Baker and her husband Bobby of Norman, Okla.; three sons, Robert Brown and his wife Constance of Van Buren, James Brown of Spiro, Okla., and Larry Brown and his wife Phyllis of Cameron, Okla.; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Monday at Mt. View Cemetery in Hackett under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
