The marketing department at Summit Medical Center and Sparks Health System took home a handful of diamond awards from the Arkansas Hospital Association’s 84th annual meeting and trade show in Little Rock.

The annual banquet honors work done by marketing and public relations professionals in healthcare.

Summit Medical Center was recognized with a diamond award in the publication-special purpose category for a magnet mailer spotlighting orthopedic services. The hospital also earned a certificate of excellence in advertising in the print category for a sandwich seminar ad series.

Sparks earned a total of four top diamond awards. Three were in the print, television and total campaign categories for advertising of stroke and heart care, mammography services and the pink flamingo flock for breast cancer awareness. Sparks also won a diamond award in the Internet Website category for the redesign of Four certificates of excellence were awarded to Sparks in the print, total campaign, special purpose and writing categories.

Judging for each entry was based on goals, audience, format, frequency, results and total budget. Sparks and Summit’s work was chosen from more than 130 entries.

Sparks Health System includes Sparks Regional Medical Center, Sparks Clinic, Sparks Home Health, Sparks PremierCare and the fully hospital-integrated Marvin Altman Fitness Center. Summit Medical Center in Van Buren is a sister facility of Sparks Health System.
