In the 21st Judicial District Circuit Court in Van Buren May 16, Judge Gary R. Cottrell heard pleas and sentenced the following:

• Michael Chad Malaska, 20, of Hartman pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, fleeing, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to appear, driving on a suspended license and driving a vehicle without a manufacturer’s number and had a six-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he spend two days in the Crawford County Detention Center with credit for two days served.

• Jeffery Lane Hensley, 39, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to felon in possession of a firearm and had a five-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he pay a $750 fine, $170 court costs and $250 fee for DNA sampling and forfeit the gun seized when he was arrested.

• Matthew Tyler Walker, 28, of Wichita Falls, Texas, pleaded guilty to theft by receiving and failure to appear and had a six-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he pay $350 restitution, $1,500 fine, $170 court costs and $250 fee for DNA sampling and do 30 days of community service.

• Rickey Dewayne Milton Jr., 24, of Mountainburg pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to two years in the Arkansas Department of Correction plus a four-year suspended prison sentence.

• Joseph Earl Little Jr., 47, of Rudy pleaded guilty to theft by receiving and had a four-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he pay $1,200 restitution and spend six months in the Crawford County Detention Center with credit for six months served.

• Quenna Janell Riggins, 24, of Fort Smith pleaded guilty to theft of property and was placed on six years probation. She will pay a $1,000 fine and $170 court costs and complete the Sebastian County drug court program.

• Justin Clay Bowles, 36, of Winslow pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree forgery, theft of property, theft of services and failure to appear and was sentenced to six years in the Arkansas Department of Correction plus a 10-year suspended prison sentence. He was given credit for jail time served.

• Roger Leif Johansson, 50, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia and was placed on five years probation. He will pay a $1,500 fine, $170 court costs, $250 fee for DNA sampling and $125 drug task force fee and attend two NA/AA meetings a week for six months. His driver’s license was suspended for six months.

• Preston Lee Adcock, 19, of Paris pleaded guilty to theft of property, breaking or entering and failure to appear and was placed on six years probation. He will pay a $2,000 fine, $170 court costs and $250 fee for DNA sampling.

• Curtis Alan Bell, 26, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to theft of property, fraudulent use of a credit or debit card and failure to appear and had a six-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he pay $1,032 restitution, $2,500 fine and $250 fee for DNA sampling.

In the 21st Judicial District Circuit Court in Van Buren May 17, Judge Gary R. Cottrell heard pleas and sentenced the following:

• Thomas Larry Green Jr., 45, of Dyer pleaded guilty to theft of property and residential burglary and was sentenced to eight years in the Arkansas Department of Correction plus a 12-year suspended prison sentence on the condition he pay $5,436.99 restitution.

• Dustin Matthew Kling, 28, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to possession of hydrocodone and possession of oxycodone and was sentenced to six years in the Arkansas Department of Correction plus a six-year suspended prison sentence. The sentence will run concurrently with one he is currently serving and he was given credit for jail time served. His driver’s license was suspended for six months.

• Lacy Renee France, 31, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to second-degree forgery and driving while intoxicated and had a six-year prison sentence suspended on the condition she pay a $1,500 fine, $170 court costs and $250 fee for DNA sampling.

• Troy Edward Howard, 79, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to second-degree sexual assault and was sentenced to 12 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction plus an eight-year suspended prison sentence. He will complete sexual counseling while in prison, register as a sex offender upon release and have no contact with the victim.

• Kevin Eugene Burnett, 38, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of first-degree criminal mischief and had a three-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he pay $847.27 restitution, $500 fine and $170 court costs and graduate from VA court in Fort Smith.

In the 21st Judicial District Circuit Court in Van Buren May 18, Judge Gary R. Cottrell heard pleas and sentenced the following:

• Derrick Kendall Todd Beller, 24, of Mountainburg pleaded guilty to fourth offense driving while intoxicated and was sentenced to two years at a regional correctional facility plus a four-year suspended prison sentence.

• Roger Bill Chandler, 69, of Mulberry pleaded guilty to sexual assault and was placed on 10 years probation. He will pay a $3,500 fine and $170 court costs, complete sexual offender counseling and have no contact with the victim or family.

• Cody Allen Dean, 23, of Alma pleaded guilty to theft by receiving and was sentenced to two years at a regional correctional facility plus a four-year suspended prison sentence.

• Katherine Denise Bradley, 27, of Mountainburg pleaded guilty to fraudulent use of a credit or debit card and and was placed in the drug court program. She will be on three years probation, submit to DNA sampling and pay the $250 fee and $125 drug task force fee. A $3,500 fine, $170 court costs and $300 of a $600 drug court fee were suspended on the condition she completes the drug court program. Her driver’s license was suspended for six months.
