In the 21st Judicial District Circuit Court in Van Buren Jan. 28, Judge Gary R. Cottrell heard pleas and sentenced the following:

• Billy Gene Thompson, 65, of Heavener pleaded guilty to third-degree domestic battery and aggravated assault on a family or household member and had a three-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he pay a $1,250 fine, $340 court costs and $250 fee for DNA sampling, continue PTSD counseling and have no contact with the victim.

In the 21st Judicial District Circuit Court in Van Buren Jan. 30, Judge Gary R. Cottrell heard pleas and sentenced the following:

• Christina Coleen Gee, 23, of Alma pleaded guilty to negligent homicide and second offense driving while intoxicated and was sentenced to 12 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction to be followed by an eight-year suspended prison sentence. She will pay a $600 fine and $250 fee for DNA sampling.

• Jason Hobbs Hamilton, 35, of Fort Smith pleaded guilty to Internet stalking of a child and was sentenced to six years in the Arkansas Department of Correction to be followed by a 10-year suspended prison sentence. He was given credit for time served and ordered to complete a counseling program while in prison. He will have no unsupervised visitation with minors once released.

• Hanif Mohamed Bacchas, 43, of Charlotte, N.C., pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear and was sentenced to two years at a regional correctional facility to be followed by an eight-year suspended prison sentence.
