A Mulberry man accused of a four-year sexual relationship with a minor female relative pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Crawford County Circuit Court.

Gerald Lee Graham, 44, is charged with 10 counts of rape and 10 counts of second-degree sexual assault.

Attorney Lucas Gramlich entered the not guilty plea for Graham and waived formal arraignment before Judge Gary R. Cottrell.

At an Aug. 21 probable cause hearing, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Shane Griffin said the Arkansas State Police had received a tip Aug. 10 from its child abuse hotline that Graham was involved in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old. During the investigation, the ASP received two more complaints, Griffin said.

Investigators then served a search warrant on Graham’s house and business to collect more evidence, an affidavit of probable cause states.

Griffin said the juvenile was then interviewed and disclosed she had been in a sexual relationship with Graham since she was 10 and advised that they had sex starting at the age of 11, Griffin said.

The girl told police she sent Graham nude photographs and he took nude photographs of her as well, the affidavit states.

Griffin said Graham also allegedly solicited the juvenile to have sex with another juvenile which he recorded.

Graham was released from the Crawford County Detention Center on $60,000 bond. Cottrell ordered Graham to have no contact with any female under the age of 18 when released from the detention center.
