The Crawford County Courthouse and other county buildings will be closed Thursday in observance of Independence Day, according to County Judge John Hall.

State offices in the county also will be closed for the Fourth of July.

Offices in the Van Buren Municipal Complex will close Thursday as will city offices in Alma, Dyer, Kibler, Mountainburg and Mulberry. Cedarville Water Works also will be closed.

There will be no mail delivery on July 4 and most lending institutions will be closed. Regular post office retail hours and full delivery operations will resume on July 5.

There will be no mail distribution to post office boxes and no mail will be collected from collection boxes.

The bulk mail unit and administrative offices will be closed. Express Mail will be delivered.

Van Buren Chamber of Commerce offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Press Argus-Courier offices will be closed Thursday but will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday to publish Saturday’s edition of the newspaper.

Libraries in Alma, Cedarville, Mountainburg, Mulberry and Van Buren will close July 4.

Van Buren Water Department’s yard waste facility at 2844 South Arkansas 59, usually open Wednesdays and Saturdays, will close July 6.

Sanitation routes will run as usual.
