Tickets are available for the Van Buren High School Hall of Honor induction ceremony for the Class of 2015 scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10, in the Fine Arts Center on the campus of VBHS.
Jimmy Bell, a 1966 graduate of Van Buren High School who died Jan. 1 after a battle with cancer, will be inducted into the Hall of Honor.
The induction ceremony will follow a noon reception in the Commons where the Hall of Honor is located.

Bell also will be recognized during activities surrounding the Pointer football team’s homecoming game Oct. 9, at Citizens Bank Stadium at Blakemore Field.
Bell was a successful real estate professional, civic leader and family man. He was a three-year letterman for the Van Buren Pointer football team. He attended Westark Community College and Arkansas Tech University and is a graduate of the Arkansas Realtor’s Institute. He was the founder of Jimmy Bell Real Estate Co.
He served in many civic and business organizations during the last three decades including Van Buren Chamber of Commerce board of directors, University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Foundation, Van Buren School District Education Foundation, Summit Medical Center board, Van Buren Boys and Girls Club board, and Citizens Bank and Trust Co. board.
Bell and his wife, Sherri, established the Cody Bell Memorial Scholarship to benefit Van Buren High School graduates.
Jimmy Bell was the recipient of many awards and honors including the 1999 Iverson Riggs Memorial Citizen of the Year Award, Arkansas Ducks Unlimited Conservation Service Award, Sertoma Club of Van Buren’s Service to Mankind Award and the Sam Walton Business Leader Award.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Van Buren where he served as a deacon and chaired the building committee.
