Lloyd Collin Jones, who pleaded guilty in the murder of Van Buren teenager Angela Allen, escaped from the East Arkansas Regional Correctional Facility on Monday.
Lloyd Jones was convicted Aug. 15, 2012, of murdering 16-year-old Angela Allen, who was reported missing in February 2012. He was sentenced to 60 years in prison without the possibility of parole.
After a search, Allen’s remains were found in a blue plastic barrel buried under three feet of earth on a hillside at a property east of Lavaca on Arkansas 96 belonging to Scott Jones, Lloyd Jones’ brother.
Lloyd Jones is a 40-year-old Caucasian male, 6 feet tall and weighing 175 pounds. He has tattoos of a dragon, a woman, a wizard and a castle on his back and dragons on his chest.
On his upper left arm, he has tattoos of flames, a skull, a cross, and a snake, and he has a tribal tattoo on his upper right arm. He also has a scar on his abdomen.
