Waste Management/Deffenbaugh Trash Services will be closed Monday to observe Memorial Day.
"We will honor the men and women who serve and have served in our armed forces," said Jeff Hirscher, senior operations specialist for Van Buren hauling.
Trash service for Monday will be pushed back one day to Tuesday. Every route will be pushed back one day ending with the Friday route running on Saturday, Hirscher said.
Crawford County Courthouse and other county buildings will be closed Monday for Memorial Day, according to County Judge John Hall.
State offices in the county also will be closed Monday.
Offices in the Van Buren Municipal Complex will close Monday as will city offices in Alma, Dyer, Kibler, Mountainburg and Mulberry. Cedarville Water Works will be closed.
There will be no mail delivery on Monday and most lending institutions will be closed. Regular post office retail hours and full delivery operations will resume on Tuesday.
There will be no mail distribution to post office boxes and no mail will be collected from collection boxes.
The bulk mail unit and administrative offices will be closed. Express Mail will be delivered.
Van Buren Chamber of Commerce offices will be closed.
Press Argus-Courier offices will close, but reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday to begin working on the Wednesday edition of the newspaper.
Libraries in Alma, Cedarville, Mountainburg, Mulberry and Van Buren will close Monday.
