In the 21st Judicial District Circuit Court in Van Buren Nov. 8, Judge Gary R. Cottrell heard pleas and sentenced the following:

• Larry Joe Garrett, 51, of Alexander, Ark., pleaded guilty to theft of property and had a 10-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he pay $688 restitution, $1,000 fine and $170 court costs.

• Logan Chase Flaherty, 21, of West Fork pleaded guilty to robbery, residential burglary and two counts of false imprisonment and was sentenced to 15 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction to be followed by a 10-year suspended prison sentence.

In the 21st Judicial District Circuit Court in Van Buren Nov. 12, Judge Gary R. Cottrell heard pleas and sentenced the following:

• Christina Marie White, 31, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to non-support and had a five-year prison sentence suspended on the condition she do 30 days of community service and pay a $1,000 fine, $170 court costs and $250 fee for DNA sampling.

• Jose Uriel Mata-Gonzalez, 21, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to first-degree forgery and driving while intoxicated and had a five-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he spend 90 days in the Crawford County Detention Center with credit for time served and pay $320 court costs and $250 fee for DNA sampling.

• Joshua Stephen Locke, 20, of Sapulpa, Okla., pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated assault and carrying a weapon and was placed on six years supervised probation. He will pay $39 restitution, $1,000 fine and $170 court costs.

• Chad Allen Hardin, 28, of Lamar pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine and had a six-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he pay a $1,500 fine and $170 court costs.

• Randy Dale Childers, 33, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, terroristic threatening and domestic battery and had a three-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he pay a $1,000 fine and $170 court costs and have no contact with the victims.

• Janet Marla Haynes, 41, of Bunch, Okla., pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree forgery and had a five-year prison sentence suspended on the condition she pay $1,328 restitution, $1,500 fine, $170 court costs and $250 fee for DNA sampling.

• Christopher Paul Williams, 25, of Alma pleaded guilty to first-degree battery and was sentenced to 10 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction to be followed by a 10-year suspended prison sentence. He was given credit for jail time served and is to have no contact with the victim.

• Raymond Daniel Dean, 22, of Roland pleaded guilty to theft of property and had a three-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he pay a $1,500 fine and $170 court costs.

• Lorenia Jenice Berg, 46, of Alma pleaded guilty to two counts of delivery of methamphetamine and had a three-year prison sentence suspended on the condition she pay $205 restitution, $1,000 fine, $170 court costs and $250 fee for DNA sampling.

• Joey Dale Berg, 42, of Alma pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, possession of marijuana, fleeing on foot and three counts of delivery of methamphetamine and was sentenced to 10 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction to be followed by a 10-year suspended prison sentence.

In the 21st Judicial District Circuit Court in Van Buren Nov. 13, Judge Mike Medlock heard pleas and sentenced the following:

• Christopher Franklin Murphy, 26, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine and was sentenced to six years in the Arkansas Department of Correction to be followed by a 13-year suspended prison sentence. His driver’s license was suspended for six months. The sentence will run concurrently with a Sebastian County sentence.

• John William Place, 43, of Van Buren pleaded guilty to second-degree battery on a law enforcement officer and had a five-year prison sentence suspended on the condition he pay a $1,500 fine and $170 court costs and and continue treatment at Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center.
