Teresa Armer, a lifelong Crawford County resident is seeking a fifth term as Crawford County clerk.
"I have 22 years experience in the clerk’s office," Armer said. "I would be honored to continue working with and for the people of Crawford County."
The county clerk’s office is responsible for maintaining guardianship, decedents, small estate, mental incompetence and adoptions for the probate division.
"We also issue marriage licenses, maintain voter registration and elections, are responsible for accounts payable, county payroll and insurance, state redemption deeds report, receipts and expenditure reports and serves as secretary for the quorum court, intergovernmental council and equalization board," she said.
Armer, 44, is the mother of the late Kristen Armer, the daughter of Roger and Evelyn Campbell and has a sister Lanetta Smith and brother Michael Campbell, all of Van Buren.
She is a member of the Arkansas Association of County Clerks, Van Buren First Assembly of God Church, Republican Party of Crawford County, Republican Women of Crawford County, Van Buren GFWC Women’s League, Transverse Myelitis Disability Association and Bost board of directors.
She was appointed to the Arkansas County Clerk Legislative Committee, is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Crawford County, was one of three Arkansas county clerks appointed to the National Conference of State Legislatures board in 2014 and is a volunteer with various fund raisers for Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Arkansas Special Olympics.
Armer also established the Kristen Armer Scholarship in memory of her daughter.
Salary for Crawford County clerk is $44,560.37.
