River Valley Primary Care Services (RVPCS) the healthcare group will administer COVID-19 testing on the following dates at these locations:
CV’s, 106 U.S. 71, Alma: Wednesday: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday and Friday: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
First Presbyterian Church of Fort Smith, 116 N. 12th St., Fort Smith: June 8 and 9: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 4916 High St., Fort Smith: June 10-12: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Census 2020 bus will be on site for all these testing dates so that River Valley resident can complete the 2020 Census at the same time of testing.
RVPCS is offering COVID-19 testing to everyone regardless of symptoms with no out- of-pocket cost.
The testing method is a noninvasive nasal swab. Results are typically available within 72 hours of collection.
RVPCS is a part of the Community Health Centers that have partnered with Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson to complete 120,000 test by the end of June.
“We have partnered with the Arkansas Department of Health, LabCorp and the governor to get as many people tested as possible. This is a big partnership and we are here to help serve the River Valley,” said Jerry White, CEO of RVPCS.
RVPCS will also conduct onsite testing at businesses per request within the serves area. They serve Sebastian, Crawford, Logan, Johnson, and Scott Counties. RVPCS will offer both throat and noninvasive nasal swabs at onsite locations for businesses.
