Cove Creek Road, beginning at Range Hollow Creek crossing in Crawford County, 15-miles north of Cedarville, will be closed beginning Wednesday as Forest Service contractors construct a new low-water bridge.

While construction is ongoing, areas of the forest to the east and west along Cove Creek Road will remain accessible.

“The new low-water bridge will not only provide motorists a safer alternative for crossing Range Hollow Creek, but it will also improve the continuity of the stream and allow for aquatic organism passage,” said Ben Gentry, Ozark-St. Francis National Forests civil engineering technician.

Construction of the new bridge is expected to be completed by fall 2020.
