A longstanding elected official in the Crawford County government will be saying goodbye at the end of the month.

Teresa Armer-Cobbe announced her resignation as Crawford County clerk effective June 30 at 11:59 p.m. during the Crawford County Quorum Court meeting Monday. Armer-Cobbe said she was resigning due to “personal reasons and health issues.” She has served in the county clerk’s office for 26½ years, and has been county clerk since 2009.

The Quorum Court approved a motion to table a resolution appointing Cathy Mullis of the Crawford County Clerk’s Office to fill Armer-Cobbe’s position from July 1 until the term expires Dec. 31, 2022.

JPs also approved a motion by District 11 JP Craig A. Wahlmeier to give all county employees July 5, the Friday after Independence Day, off, and those who have to work that day a floating holiday.

The next regular Crawford County Quorum Court meeting is scheduled to take place July 15.
