A West Texas homeowner wasn’t expecting for his basement to go viral when he went downstairs to check the cable cords.

Big Country Snake Removal, a professional snake removal company in the Abilene area, said in a Facebook post on Sunday that the homeowner noticed a “few” snakes in his basement and called them. But when the company got there, they found 45 rattlesnakes under the house.

“The interesting thing here was (the homeowners) only see a few each year, their yard was very well kept and their house was nice and clean,” the company wrote on the Facebook post.

A nearly 18-minute-long video of the incident on Facebook — which has been viewed more than 300,000 times — shows two of the company's workers removing all of the snakes from under the home. According to USA Today, the largest snake found in the home near Abilene was 5.5 feet long.

“My point is, we run into this scenario often, and people don’t think it can happen to them,” the company wrote. “Rattlesnakes don’t care how nice your house is or what kind (of) car you drive. They care simply about survival.”

However, 45 rattlesnakes isn’t the most the company has removed. According to KXAN, the company removed 88 snakes from underneath a home three years ago.
