The Van Buren School District hosted its annual father/daughter dance, “A Night at the Ball,” on Monday night at the Van Buren High School Commons Area.

The dance was open to girls in grades kindergarten through fifth in the Van Buren School District and gave the elementary age girls a true fairytale experence.

The evening included dancing and refreshments along with photo ops with special guest princes and princesses, who made appearances at the ball. Upon arrival, attendees had their name announced by a prince and also received a complimentary tiara.

The event serves as the main fundraiser for the IMPACT Meals program. The program provides “meals at critical times” for Van Buren students who may encounter food deficits at home. Proceeds from the fundraiser will help purchase items for the monthly grocery distributions. The Van Buren School District implemented the program in the spring of 2016.
