The Van Buren School District’s IMPACT Meals Program will host its annual Father-Daughter Dance on Feb. 11. Guests will enjoy “A Night at the Ball,” complete with red carpet, tiaras, music and more.

The event is open to all girls in VBSD grades Kindergarten through fifth. The dance will be held at the Van Buren High School Commons Area from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Upon arrival, attendees will have the opportunity to have their photo taken and to see special guest princes and princesses, who will also appear at the ball.

All proceeds support the district’s IMPACT Meals program. Established in 2016, the program exists to provide “meals at critical times” for Van Buren students who may encounter food deficits at home. The initiative originally began by providing non-perishable grocery items to participants over extended breaks, including at Thanksgiving, the holidays, and Spring Break. IMPACT now offers distributions nearly every month to families in need.

“The Father-Daughter Dance is a special event for our families and a fun way to bring awareness to the IMPACT program,” said Director Steve Davis. “It serves as our primary fundraiser, enabling us to purchase much needed items for our monthly grocery distributions.”

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased online at www.VBSD.us, or at the VBSD Administration Building, 2221 Pointer Trail, Van Buren.
