The Press Argus-Courier will relocate its office to Central Mall in Fort Smith on Sept. 26. The newspaper first day of operation at the new location will be Sept. 27.

The newspaper will vacate its current location at 100 N. 11th St. in Van Buren where it has been located since 1969.

It will combine resources with its sister daily newspaper, the Times Record, and weekly newspapers, Greenwood Democrat, Charleston Express and Booneville Democrat.

“The focus of the Press Argus-Courier will remain the same,” publisher Kim Hattaway said. “Our mission is to continue our news coverage of Crawford County by providing reliable news and features that are important to our readers and advertisers” Hattaway added.

“We will still be at the council meetings, school board meetings, Friday night football games, etc. as we always have.” sid Kenneth Fry, editor of the Press Argus-Courier.

The new office is located in suite 471. The public may access the suite through the east entrance of the mall. Once inside, go to the first office door on the left and look for access instructions. An elevator is available for convenience. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There also is a kiosk located by the south entrance of the mall near Sweet Bay Coffee. Customers may place classifieds ads, purchase newspapers, submit news items, buy subscriptions, ask general questions or read through the day’s news using devices that will be provided. The hours of the kiosk will be 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
