Kenneth Robison is seeking the Ward 2 Position on the Van Buren City Council in the Nov. 6 general election.

Robison is a cum laude graduate of the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith where he received his bachelor of science in criminal justice. While attending UAFS, he became a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Currently, Robison is in his last year at John Brown University where he is getting his masters degree in clinical mental health. He is working at Anchored Hope Counseling under the supervision of Dr. Deborah Braboy. Robison is a member of the American Counseling Association and is a certified anger management specialist.

Robison is president of the Bly-Thomas Mental Health Counseling Organization, Van Buren Chamber of Commerce ambassador, board member of the Historic Bonneville House and a member of the Van Buren High School Career and Technical Education Advisory Council.

He said he looks forward to working with the new mayor and moving Van Buren forward.

Robison plans to continue working with non-profits like the Center for Art and Education. He is the father of two children Whitney, 27, and Payton, 26.
