Crawford County Democratic Party will host a political picnic and rally Saturday at the Rudy City Park and they invite the public to come meet the candidates.

The rally will get underway at 11 a.m. with entertainment by the White River Junction band, speeches at noon, followed by hot dog and chili picnic.

Candidates who plan to be on hand include candidates Joshua Mahoney, Congress; Jared Henderson, governor; Mike Lee, attorney general; Jim Wallace, Senate District 5; Donald McKinney, state representative District 80; Lou Reed Sharp, state representative District 81; Ron Brown, sheriff; and Justice of Peace candidates Tom Watkins and Stanley Clark.

“This is an opportunity to come meet the candidates on a grass root level,” stated CCDP Chairman Sheila Bell.

The event is open to the public and there is no charge.
